CMR confirms full driver roster for two-car Bentley assault

CMR has confirmed the drivers who will pilot its pair of Bentley Continental GT3s in the upcoming GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS season.

The French squad returns to the series this term following a successful spell in Championnat de France FFSA GT/GT4 France, joining an expanded stable of Bentley squads for 2020.

The Sprint Cup line-up will be an all-French affair, with leading Bentley factory driver Jules Gounon partnering fellow countryman Nelson Panciatici to compete for overall honours. Gounon enters the 2020 season on a high after capturing last month's Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, while the experienced Panciatici is set to make his series debut.

CMR will also field a Pro-Am class machine for Pierre Alexandre-Jean and Erwin Creed at Sprint events. Alexandre-Jean remains with the team for its graduation to GT World Challenge Europe, while Creed is an experienced gentleman driver who has previously competed in the WEC.

In the Endurance Cup, CMR will have one car competing for overall honours and another in the Am Cup class. The top-tier machine will see Bentley factory ace Seb Morris paired with Alexandre-Jean and series newcomer Ajun Maini. The promising young Indian racer competed in single-seaters up to FIA Formula 2 and spent last season in prototypes.

The Am Cup machine will feature Stéphane Tribaudini, who won a GT4 France title in the Am class for CMR in 2017. He will be partnered by full-season racer Creed and Romano Ricci, who also switches from WEC prototypes to tackle GT World Challenge Europe.

CMR will join the full GT World Challenge Europe field at Circuit Paul Ricard next week for the official test days (12/13 March). The opening Endurance Cup event takes place at Monza (17-19 April), while the Sprint Cup campaign launches at Brands Hatch (2-3 May).
